Before the first trial...

Before the first trial

Before I started deciding the foods I was going to cook through these two years I had to do a survey. In this survey I was going to conduct I would be able to analyse the requirements for a teen to be interested in cooking.

I asked 4 simple questions:
  1. Do you like to cook?
  2. How many times do you cook for yourself?
  3. What encourages you to cook?
  4. What is a discourages you from cooking on a daily basis?
These 4 question were replied to by a total of 26 teenagers. I collected results which were quite similar to the reasons why I would avoid cooking.

    Maximum people liked to cook.

Maximum people were either cooking for themselves once in a month or once a week.

Most people were encouraged by the foods taste and the idea of having something to do/eat.

Most people were deterred from cooking due to the time it took to cook the food, the mess after cooking, and the skills required to cook.
In conclusion I found that the easiest yet tastiest food was the only way I would be able to cater to the interest of the teenager mindset. I started making a list of foods I enjoyed making and eating. In the end of this month I will be making a video of the unda roti I mentioned in the previous blog post and finalize this list of foods I want to work with over these two years.
